NBA Draft 2024: First Round Results

French forward Zaccharie Risacher becomes the just the fourth international player ever to be the top pick

The first night of the 2024 NBA Draft went down last night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. With the first pick, the Atlanta Hawks selected versatile French player Zaccharie Risacher. The 6'9" forward from JL Bourg-en-Bresse will join forces with Bogdan Bogdanovic and three-time All-Star Trae Young to make the hopeful Hawks competitors in the loaded Eastern Conference.

Check out the full results from the first round below.

With the 17th pick, the Lakers stole Tennessee sharpshooter Dalton Knecht after he fell far past where Draft experts had projected him to go. He will be under excellent tutelage from new Lakers head coach JJ Redick, who was once a marquee NBA shooter himself.

Title contenders the Philadelphia 76ers took Duke playmaking freshman Jared McCain, who could pair nicely with standout Tyrese Maxey and give the Sixers another offensive threat and some solid depth.

Purdue's 7'4" center Zach Edey, who was a back-to-back National Player of the Year his final two seasons in college, was selected 9th overall by the Memphis Grizzlies and could pose a formidable threat alongside standout guard Ja Morant. Two players were selected in the first round from UConn Huskies' reigning National Championship team: guard Stephon Castle and 7'2" center Donovan Clingan.
